Our adoption remains at a stand still. I just realized that we have been in the number one referral spot for a little girl for 11 months now. I talked to the director or our agency yesterday and was told that the past week there were children whose paperwork was completed, and she referred them to their potential families. The children were all boys, and unfortunately the way our original agency completed some of our Dossier paperwork we cannot accept a little boy. This helps us to remain hopeful though, because they are beginning to get new referrals after many months of none. We know there are little girls in the orphanage in Ethiopia who are just waiting for the orphanage staff to get their paperwork completed so they can get home. Somewhere in Ethiopia there is a beautiful little girl who is destined to have three big sisters (who still pray for her, still wonder about her, and who continue to draw her pictures and make her cards)! At this time, we are praying and knowing it is in His timing.
Goodbye carefree summer, hello beautiful fall!! |
I honestly could not be happier for your family! God has many great things happening in your lives and that could not be more of a blessing! Through your prayer and steadfast strength and never giving up has came great rewards, some that didn't come easy and some that took time. Others may not view it that way, as it is not something that they would want or feel it is the best choice, etc. but you have to go where you are lead to or called to do and believe! One should always do whats in the best interest of their family, self and not what others say or feel. We are faced each day with what could be a challenge, a test, or just a way to get to where or what we have prayed for, though at times it may not be recognizable I truly believe there is always a greater yes, we just have to be willing to wait and be patient to know what that truly is. God is our one and only one with our plans, as they have already been made for us. I continue to pray for your family and that sweet little girl that holds the special place in the hearts of many family members already to be guided and cared for with special hands until she is united and held in the warm embrace of her loving family's arms she longs for! Take Care my Friend!

Thank you, my sweet friend, for your encouragement! To be honest the waiting wears on us. It makes me sad when the girls ask when their little sister is coming home, and we have to explain that we have no idea if/when this will happen. All we know is it is in His timing. God knows where she is, what she looks like, and how many hairs are on her head. Our job right now is to be faithful and patient (grrr)....
